Peter Gabriel is the latest prospective developer interested in a single-storey building at the back of Ladbroke Square, W11.

He wants to use it as a recording studio and create a roof garden.

The garden is likely to provoke opposition from residents who would be overlooked. One is a very senior planning lawyer, who has thwarted Gabriel's predecessors.
