MANY council tenants are keen to take grants to move out and buy smaller homes, says the Housing Minister, Sir George Young. He quotes a study by Jill Barelli at the London Research Centre which revealed that 670,000 homes had two or more unused bedrooms and almost 175,000 occupiers willing to move either straight away or within the next five years.
