The UK's most expensive and cheapest road names revealed

'The saying goes that the three most important factors in buying a house are location, location, location'

If you live on a road which includes the word ‘Warren’, your home is likely to be among the most valuable in the UK.

These properties typically cost £607,267 - more than double the price of the average home which is £282,978, according to Zoopla.

And if home owners are looking for a property bargain, they would be advised to stay away from homes with an address including 'King', 'Queen', 'Prince' or 'Princess', as they too tend to cost more than the average, as found by the property website’s analysis of more than 28 million homes in the UK.

On the other end of the scale, the least expensive homes have ‘Street’ in their address and are worth £184,722 on average, followed by those including ‘Court’ and ‘Terrace’.

The majority of properties, around 2.1 million, have an address including the word ‘Road’. Over one million homes have ‘Street’ in their address.

"The saying goes that the three most important factors in buying a house are location, location, location; our research shows that even the road name you choose can make a difference to how much you can expect to pay when finding a property," said Lawrence Hall, from Zoopla.
