They say: Wonderfully dramatic contemporary house. It has seven bedrooms and eight receptions, including a cinema room and gymnasium, and is the result of a complete remodelling of a much older house. In effect, the downstairs divides in two, providing a perfect area for guests or teenagers.

We say: This house is so big it might be difficult to use all the space effectively. The terrace leads off the cinema room upstairs and the family room has only a skylight rather than a window, while the bedrooms are dotted rather haphazardly around the edges. But if you can make it work for you, it's a great proposition.
