Prices are rising in certain areas because few properties are coming up for sale. E A Shaw in Covent Garden say two flats have just gone under offer at over the asking price, both with back-up buyers in the wings. The three-bedroom flat in Neal Street had an asking price of pounds 285,000 and the two-bedroom maisonette in Floral Street was valued at pounds 246,000. Extra attractions were roof terraces.
