Design buzz words of the week (January 28 - February 4).

Braun - The electronics company very quietly turned 90 this week. ( Braun)

Egg Chair - Australian designer Emma Selzer has presented an egg-shaped chair made from 110 pieces of plywood. Sustainable design this is not, but it's definitely beautiful to look at. ( Core77)

Ehrlich Architects - The US-based practice has won the competition to design the Federal National Council's new Parliament Building Complex in Abu Dhabi. ( World Interior Design Network)

Google Art Project - Design fans made virtual trips to the likes of the MoMA in New York or the Tate in London thanks to Google's much-praised museum version of Street View. ( Designboom)

OAT Shoes - Dutch footwear brand OAT's 'Virgin Collection' features sneakers that grow into trees once thrown away. And they look nice, too. ( GOOD)
