Lord Bethell, the former government whip in the House of Lords, who lists poker as one of his recreations, has upped sticks from London to the country. He has sold his house near Chelsea Harbour and bought Manor Farmhouse in Buckinghamshire from John D Wood. The listed 17th-century property has eight bedrooms, five reception rooms, a swimming-pool, stables and also a heli-pad.
