Royal wedding: Fans explain why they've come to Windsor to see Harry and Meghan marry

Thousands of people flocked to Windsor today to soak up the atmosphere as Prince Harry married Meghan Markle.

From hardcore royalists to people who just fancied a day in the sunshine, the wedding attracted people from every background.

The ceremony, which drew heavily on Meghan's African American heritage, took place at noon at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

In addition to the crowds lining the streets, around 600 people attended the ceremony itself including the Queen and husband Prince Philip, as well as a throng of a celebrity guests including Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham and Sir Elton John.

Wearing a dress by British designer Clare Waight Keller, Ms Markle was met by Prince Charles, who walked her down the aisle.
