JOS Verstappen's brush with incineration in a bath of their product at Hockenheim last weekend does not seem to have dampened the ardour of Elf's advertising gurus. With a spectacular aberration of taste, full-colour splashes next to coverage of the fire in Monday's press kicked off: 'Those bright sparks who developed Elf racing fuel for the Benetton team . . . '
