Athletics: Brown calls it a day
Phil Brown, famed for his anchor-leg displays in the 4x400 metres relay for Great Britain and England, has announced his retirement from top-class athletics. The 32-year-old Birchfield Harrier, who briefly held the British record for the 400m, has struggled to find time to train in recent months after becoming a father.
