Olympic champion Michael Johnson has recovered from the leg injury he sustained in the 150m showdown with Donovan Bailey earlier this month and will make his return to competition at the Paris Grand Prix meeting tomorrow.

The International Amateur Athletics Federation meeting in Sestriere on 19 July could be cancelled if sponsors do not come forward to finance part of the 1bn lire (pounds 360,000) cost.
