BADMINTON

Vic Muggeridge, the father of England's leading singles player Joanne Muggeridge and the man who has been who has been accused of head-butting the coach Tom John during last weekend's English national championships, will almost certainly come face to face with John again during the third tournament of the British Grand Slam circuit, the Surrey Open at Wimbledon, which starts today. Joanne Muggeridge is seeded to win the women's singles and her father is likely to be present during the later stages of an event which is at John's home club. Wimbledon will be making no special arrangements.
