Anders Nielsen, the national champion, is an unexpected omission from all six of England's matches against the world champions, China, which start in Sheffield on Wednesday. The decision seems to be a consequence of Nielsen's late withdrawal from the first of the Friends Provident British Grand Slam tournament in Perth earlier in the month.
