Barnet secure sponsorship deal with Loaded magazine: Football

Barnet have secured a sponsorship deal from Loaded magazine. Derek Harbinson, the editor of Loaded, said: "Barnet are a club with a great tradition of battling on in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds and always come back with a smile on their face."

Terry Dolan, the former Hull City manager, is to make a claim for unfair dismissal against the club at an Industrial Tribunal. Dolan was dismissed in July when David Lloyd headed a take-over at the Third Division club and is still waiting for a compensation settlement on a contract which had nearly two years to run.

Wolves yesterday secured the signing of Jesus Garcia Sanjuan, a former Spanish Under-21 and Under-23 international, from Real Zaragoza. The 26- year-old midfielder arrives initially on a three-month loan at a cost of pounds 50,000, with a view to a pounds 500,000 deal.

Charlton Athletic yesterday completed the signing of Mark Bowen, the former Welsh international defender from Japanese side Shimizu-S-Pulse. Alan Curbishley, the manager of Charlton, moved to sign Bowen, 33, after losing the full back Gary Poole to a long-term knee injury. Bowen, who joined the J League club from West Ham in February this year, has signed a contract until the end of the season.

Jamaica boosted their chances of qualifying for the World Cup when they beat Costa Rica 1-0 in a Concacaf qualifer on Sunday, thanks to a 56th- minute goal from Derby County's Deon Burton. Jamaica moved above the United States into second place in the final stage of the Concacaf qualifying tournament, trailing the leaders Mexico on goal difference. Both teams have 11 points, the top three qualify for France 98.
