Sherman Douglas of the Boston Celtics was fined $4,000 (£2,500) for his actions after Monday's game between the Celtics and New Jersey in Boston. Douglas was fined for failing to leave the court in a timely fashion and verbally abusing the referees following Boston's 98-96 defeat of New Jersey.

The Sheffield Sharks forward, Roger Huggins, was named Player of the Year at the Budweiser All Star Basketball awards. Jim Brandon won the top coach category.
