Less than one week after the end of the Budweiser League season, Leicester Riders have signed the 6ft 11in American James Havrilla for the new campaign beginning in September. Last season Havrilla played in China.

Richmond Jaguars have teamed up with Ashley Levett, the Richmond rugby club owner, in a bid to become a leading force in the Budweiser League. Joel Moore, the former Great Britain captain and general manager of the Jaguars, said: "We will benefit hugely from linking with the rugby club. We've got a vision for the Jaguars that ultimately means playing in the proposed European Basketball League".
