John Tresvant, of the United States, has returned to Manchester Giants on a two-year contract.

The Orlando Magic will offer Shaquille O'Neal a four-year salary package of $54.76m (pounds 36.5m) to keep him from jumping to another National Basketball Association team. O'Neal becomes a free agent on 1 July and has been talking to officials of the Los Angeles Lakers, among others, about his future playing career.
