This Sunday's League Trophy final at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, promises to be a formidable affair. Thames Valley Tigers, the defending champions, have lost only three games in the Budweiser League this season. Proton Manchester Giants, their opponents, have lost only two and are leading the League. However, the Giants are looking for their first title in eight seasons despite three appearances in the Trophy final. The programme opens with a coaching clinic for 1,000 children, aged from 13 to 17, from 12-2.30pm; 3pm Budweiser League: Birmingham Bullets v Leicester City Riders; 5pm: League Trophy final.

How to get there: National Indoor Arena, King Edward's Road, Birmingham. Junction 6 of M6 and the Arena is signposted from the A38(M). Fifteen- minute walk from Birmingham New Street railway station. Admission for both games: pounds 5 adults, pounds 3 children 16 and under. (Box Office 021-200 2222). Bookings for the coaching clinic close at 5pm tonight; pounds 3 per child (Tel: 021-308 3505).
