THE Wembley Arena Complex is to be the new home for the Budweiser League club, London Towers, who have yet to win any honours but can now boast one of the world's most famous sporting venues as their base, writes Duncan Hooper.

London will play at the specially created Wembley Court, which has been adapted from one of Wembley's exhibition halls into a 1,300-seat arena, and will have a permanent basketball floor. Their first game at Wembley will be against Manchester Giants on 10 March.

Craig Stanley of Marshall Arts, the music and entertainment promoters, who took over the club before Christmas, is now managing director of the club. He said: 'We knew our experience in promoting and entertainment offered a great potential marriage with basketball, but to put on top quality sporting entertainment we needed a premier venue.'
