Ben Cronin, the Garryowen and Ireland No 8, has been ruled out of Munster's European Cup match against Swansea in Limerick next Wednesday after suffering a neck injury during their 27-8 win in Lombardy on Tuesday.

The former England flanker, Mike Rafter, has resigned as coach of the Second Division side Bedford after three seasons in charge.
