Motor racing

Benetton will race under Italian instead of British colours next season. The change means that the Italian national anthem rather than the British one will be played when Benetton next win a race, but the team will continue to test at Silverstone.

Giancarlo Baghetti, who drove in Formula One for Ferrari, ATS and BRM in the 1960s, died of cancer yesterday. He was 60.
