It would appear that a fair few German lagers and ales must have been consumed by patriotic England fans during and after the 3-2 friendly win in Berlin last weekend.

BetVictor were forced to cut Roy Hodgson’s men from 10s to 8s to win Euro 2016 following the impressive comeback victory but England are still rated fourth favourites for the tournament behind Germany (10-3), hosts France (10-3) and Spain (5-1).

You could still get 8s in the outright market despite England’s defeat by the Netherlands, who failed to qualify for the finals, just three days later.

England are also 4-6 early favourites to top Group B in France, while Wales can be backed at 9-2. Hodgson’s men are expected to reach the knock-out stage of the competition at the very least, after being chalked up at 1-9. Harry Kane is 16-1 to be the top scorer at Euro 2016, with team-mate Jamie Vardy 33-1.
