Thursday: Six-times British Open squash champion Jonah Barrington bounced into life in 1941. American golfer Johnny Miller, 1976 Open winner, joined the club in 1947.

Saturday: Jockey Steve Cauthen first rode into view in 1960. The Kentucky Kid was British champion three times in the 80s, winning the Derby twice.

Sunday: Snooker's Jimmy White, the best player never to win the world title, arrived on cue in 1962.
