Lennox Lewis's fight for the vacant World Boxing Council heavyweight title is in doubt after his opponent, Oliver McCall, was arrested by Nashville police yesterday. McCall was arrested for allegedly throwing a Christmas tree in a hotel lobby and for spitting on a police car. McCall is scheduled to fight Lewis early next year.

John "The Beast" Mugabi made a winning comeback yesterday after a five- year absence. The former WBC junior-middleweight champion gave away weight and youth but scored a 10-round majority points decision over Australian cruiserweight champion Peter Kinsella.
