Sipho Moyo, the Zimbabwean challenger, is likely to find himself in the lion's den when he meets the Yorkshireman, Henry Wharton, for the Commonwealth super-middleweight championship at Leeds Town Hall tomorrow.
Wharton, 26, has a considerable following and the African has not previously fought outside his own country, where boxing does not have much support.
Moyo, from Bulawayo, caused a few eyebrows to be raised when he gave his age as 35 when the fighters met yesterday. Like Wharton, however, he has only lost once as a professional.
'He's very strong, determined and keeps coming forward. It's not a foregone conclusion - I still have to fight,' Wharton, who has seen a video of the Zimbabwean champion, said.
