Carl Frampton became the latest world champion from the United Kingdom last night after a magnificent performance against Kiko Martinez to win the IBF super-bantamweight title, and posted this picture on twitter, with the hilarious caption: "Woke up with a sore head this morning, must have been in a fight last night".
The Northern Irishman prevailed in an absorbing encounter to triumph by a unanimous decision in Belfast, and immediately called out Manchester's Scott Quigg after the fight.
"The only man I want to fight is Scott Quigg," Frampton said after his victory.
"I'll fight him in Manchester, I'll fight him anywhere, but we've got options."
His compatriot, the golfing world No 1 Rory McIlroy also tweeted his congratulations.
Frampton, who is trained by Barry McGuigan's son, won in front of 16,000 fans in Belfast at a specially-built arena in the Titanic Quarter.
