KSI responds to criticism of Logan Paul rematch: 'The work I'm putting in is like a professional boxer'

The high profile bout has come under scrutiny

KSI vs Logan Paul London press conference

KSI has responded to criticism of his upcoming fight with rival YouTuber Logan Paul.

The pair meet in a rematch of their 2018 amateur fight, which resulted in a majority draw.

It was seen as “The Biggest Internet Event in History”, being purchased by 1.5 million viewers worldwide, with 20,000 in attendance at the Manchester Arena.

This time, however, the pair turn professional. Boxing circles all over have been disgruntled with the fight being in the professional ranks – with the pair set to sell out the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.

KSI, however, is not bothered by criticism.

“I’m very excited,” KSI told the Mayweather Channel after arriving for the final month of camp.

“I’ve been waiting and waiting to get to Vegas as I know this is where the real work comes in.

“So much boxing knowledge is here and I’m able to just take everything that I need to and destroy Logan with it.”

“This is a real fight, someone’s getting knocked out and it’s not me.

“The work I put in is close to – if not, like a pro boxer.

“[This fight] means the world to me but to the world it doesn’t really mean anything. Ultimately, the most important thing is how I perform in the ring.”

The 26-year-old is confident that his training team and experience will help him to come out on top.

“I’m going to destroy Logan in the ring, I’m going to using boxing technique, boxing IQ, I will show everyone I’ve been putting in the work.

“I’m not here for a paycheque, I’ve got money, for me it’s all about trying to be better for myself, trying to improve and show people I can do what people think I can’t do.

“No one would have thought I could be a pro boxer, so many people are writing me off already against Logan. I’ve always wanted to prove people wrong and this is another example.”
