Tony Bellew grieves the death of his brother in law: 'I dedicate this fight to Ash'

Tony Bellew has fired a warning to Andre Ward, claiming that he would knock the retired fighter out, should the pair meet in the ring.

Bellew was speaking on the back of his devastating victory over now former rival David Haye, beating the former world heavyweight champion after five rounds, which included a total of three knockdowns before the referee finally decided to call a halt to the fight.

With the cruiser-turned-heavyweight’s next opponent currently unknown, questions were immediately asked post-fight of what next for the Bomber, and he was quick to call out the former two-weight world champion.

“Styles make fights. There’s many styles out there that I can beat. I’ll beat Andre Ward. You’re all laughing at me, thinking I haven’t got a chance. I will knock Andre Ward out. I will beat him down, slowly but surely.

“I could do it two ways, I could outbox Andre Ward if I choose to, I’ve just got a different set of skills than what he’s faced before. I’ll beat him, I don’t care how good he is. I’ve got all the respect in the world for him, he’s an amazing fighter, a pound-for-pound great. Styles make fights and I would beat him.

“He wants the fight. Believe you me, he thinks he can beat me easy. He wants the fight.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn then stated that if a fight were to happen between the two, it would have to be in the United Kingdom.

“Yeah, 100%. Only here,” Hearn said when asked where the location of the fight would be
