Barcelona beat Sevilla 5-2 at Nou Camp last night to steal the Spanish league title on goal difference from Deportivo La Coruna, who only drew 0-0 at home to Valencia after missing a penalty a minute from time. Bangor City, who abandoned the promotion pyramid in English non-league football, are on the verge of winning the League of Wales, and earning a Uefa Cup place, after thrashing Haverfordwest 9-0. The winning margin meant they have bettered the goal difference of the league leaders Inter Cardiff, and they now need only a draw in their final match on Tuesday, at Porthmadog, to take in the title from Inter and claim a European place.
