The fourth day of the European Championship yesterday was confined to Pool A games with the domestic battle between Scotland and Wales holding centre stage, writes Brian Tatlock from Dublin. Wales were the first to settle with Hounslow's Jon Rees giving them the lead in the eighth minute. Rees found himself unmarked as Richard Markham's cross evaded several Scottish defenders and with time to select his spot to beat Scottish goalkeeper Alasdair Seaton. A goal from Tony Colclough sealed the win for Wales. England, who top the second pool, look on course for the semi-finals.
