Carlos Sainz, Spain's double world champion who lost out to Scotland's Colin McRae this year, is rejoining Ford. Sainz has been linked with a return to Ford ever since his switch from Subaru to Toyota in October ran into problems. Within days of the move, his new team were suspended for a year because of technical irregularities. Sainz was later released from his contract.
