Cosmopolitan turns on the style

William Fox-Pitt, frustrated in his bid for the Badminton title last month, is heading for a compensation victory in the Toyota Bramham Three- Day Event in Yorkshire. Fox-Pitt leads after a faultless round on Cosmopolitan II in yesterday's cross-country section and has a fence in hand on New Zealand's Andrew Nicholson on Cartoon, going into today's deciding show jumping round. Paddy Muir retained third place on Archie Brown, four points behind Nicholson.
