Terry Alderman, the former Australian seam bowler, is reported to be considering an offer to take over as coach to the county champions, Warwickshire, in succession to Bob Woolmer, who is now in charge of the South African Test team.

Natal have won the Castle Cup championship with one round still to be played. Their closest rivals, Northern Transvaal, lost by five wickets to Western Province on Monday and now have no chance of catching them.
