Muneeb Diwan, 24, the Canadian-born batsman who played just one Championship match in two seasons with Essex, has joined Worcestershire on a one-year contract.

Sussex have awarded a one-year contract to the 21-year-old Rajesh Rao, a right-handed batsman and leg-spinner who has been with the MCC Young Professionals for the past two years.

Les Lenham, the former Sussex batsman whose son Neil plays for the county, will coach the club's juniors, starting this summer.
