Aravinda de Silva, the Kent batsman, hurt his finger while batting in the nets and was ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour match against Tasmania in Launceston. Tasmania laboured to 252 for 4 at close on the first day after winning the toss. Sri Lanka meet Australia in the first Test in Perth, starting on Friday.
