Derbyshire survived a three-wicket burst from Nottinghamshire's David Pennett to draw the Championship match at Trent Bridge yesterday. Set a target of 339, Derbyshire were in trouble at 21 for 3 when Pennett removed Peter Bowler, John Morris and Chris Adams in nine deliveries. But Kim Barnett and Adrian Rollins guided Derbyshire to safety with an unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 108.
