Glamorgan are set to announce major new ground developments at their Sophia Gardens headquarters in Cardiff. The county, who recently signed the top Pakistani fast bowler Waqar Younis on a six-figure contract, will unveil the plans during an official announcement next week.

Warwickshire's head groundsman Steve Rouse has been offered a three-month appointment at South Africa's Newlands Test venue in Cape Town. Warwickshire are unlikely to object as he would be back in time to prepare Edgbaston for next summer's first Test match between England and Australia.
