Cricket: Moxon sets example
MARTYN MOXON hit 123 in five hours to lead his England A team to 326 for 5 at the close of play on the first day of their three- day match against the Australian Capital Territory at the Manuka Oval in Canberra yesterday.
The 32-year-old Yorkshireman, who shared a run-a-minute stand of 128 with Jack Russell, reached his century with a six hooked off a short delivery from the former Lancashire pace bowler, Ken McLeod.
Moxon and the Gloucestershire wicketkeeper pepped up the scoring rate in the afternoon following a crawl through the early session.
