Cricket: Zimbabwe lose control

ZIMBABWE'S hopes of winning the second Test against Pakistan were undermined by some poor catching on the fourth day in Rawalpindi yesterday, but they are still only 212 runs behind with one day to play.

Pakistan, 1-0 up in the three- match series, were 221 for 8 at the close after recovering from a poor first hour in which they lost five wickets for 58 runs. But three dropped catches and some determined batting by Asif Mujtaba (51) and Rashid Latif (61) strengthened the home side's position.

'We did not field as well as we had done earlier,' Andy Flower, the Zimbabwe captain, said. 'Hopefully we will get the last two out early and go all out to reach the target.'
