A surprise double century from Jason Gillespie has put Australia on the brink of victory going into the final day of the second Test with Bangladesh in Chittagong.

The tourists declared their first innings in the post-lunch session on 581 for four with Gillespie having reached 201 not out and Mike Hussey having scored 182.

By stumps on day four, Bangladesh managed to reach 195 for four, but they still trail by 189 runs and Australia need six wickets on the final day to clinch a 2-0 series victory.
