Graeme Hick hammered the 113th first-class century of his career to put Worcestershire into a strong position in their County Championship Second Division match against Warwickshire at New Road.
The England discard stroked a splendid 116 not out to lift his side to 273 for 3 off 52 overs in reply to the visitors' 277. The Worcestershire captain hit two sixes and 17 fours off 128 balls to end a disappointing run of five Championship innings which had yielded just 37 runs.
Half centuries from Michael Gough and Martin Love gave Durham a solid start in reply to Gloucestershire's 417 in their Second Division match at Gloucester.
Durham require 268 to avoid the follow-on and when rain arrived 20 minutes before tea to end play for the day they had reached 211 for 4. The opening batsman Gough was unbeaten on 73, while Love was dismissed for a brisk 70.
