Simon Jones, the England fast bowler, has targeted the tour of the West Indies next March for his return from cruciate ligament damage to his right knee which he sustained in the first Test against Australia in Brisbane last winter.
The Glamorgan pace bowler, who is a member of the England Academy squad, said: "That is a goal for me. That is what I am trying for."
Richard Johnson cancelled his honeymoon to tour with England, and after being overlooked for the drawn opening match against the Bangladesh Cricket Board President's XI, the Somerset seamer is expected to face Bangladesh A over the next three days as England weigh up their options for the first Test.
The Worcestershire off-spinner, Gareth Batty, who took three wickets against the President's XI, is also hopeful of being included in the final warm-up match before the opening Test on 21 October.
