Knight amasses triple century

Nick Knight posted the season's highest first-class score and his first triple century to put Warwickshire in a commanding position in their County Championship First Division game against Middlesex at Lord's.

Knight, 179 not out overnight, was unbeaten yesterday on 303 when he declared at 608 for 7. Neil Carter (3 for 26) and Dewald Pretorius (1 for 24) reduced the hosts to 28 for 4. They closed on 76 for 5 when bad light intervened, 532 runs behind.
