Police have retrieved some of the late Ben Hollioake's England cricket equipment stolen from his parents' home in Perth, Australia.
Hollioake's brother, Adam, revealed on Twitter yesterday that thieves had made off with a number of treasured items associated with Ben's tragically short career.
Melbourne-born Hollioake, who died in a car crash in Perth, aged 24 in 2002, won two Test caps and 20 in one-day internationals for England.
Adam, who captained the national side in ODIs, drew attention to the crime and current England stars, Kevin Pietersen and James Anderson were soon among those calling – also via Twitter – for efforts to be made to recover the property.
Western Australia police have since executed a search warrant and recovered some of the kit.
