Shane Warne yesterday delivered a few home truths in the wake of England's drawn Test series with Sri Lanka.

"They should have gone to Trent Bridge 2-0 up," said the Australian leg-spinner at the launch of his on-line gambling business. "They will be pretty disappointed Sri Lanka levelled the series. They have not really performed since winning the Ashes against us last summer. Pakistan is the last series before the Ashes tour, so they will have to hit their straps against them.

"They have been struck by injury, but guys have not performed as well as they could.

"Wicketkeeper Geraint Jones must be under enormous pressure now. The keeping spot has to be looked at. What is best, runs or catches? Jones's keeping is steady at best, but he has been in the side to make runs and he hasn't done that."
