Women's cricket: Teenager Shaquana Quintyne puts toothless England to the sword

A magnificent five-wicket haul from teenage leg-spinner Shaquana Quintyne saw England Women crash to an 11-run defeat against West Indies in Bridgetown in the second match of their Tri-Nation Twenty20 Series.

Set a victory target of 141, England looked on course to follow up their victory over New Zealand earlier this week with another win after reaching 82 for one in the 12th over. But 17-year-old Quintyne was the trigger for a dramatic collapse, finishing with figures of five for 16, as England limped to 129 for eight.

Opening pair Charlotte Edwards and Lauren Winfield put on 69 for the opening wicket before the latter was bowled for 36 by Quintyne, who then accounted for England's captain in her next over after she had made 39.

England's charge looked toothless when Quintyne dismissed Natalie Sciver and Sarah Taylor in the same over, and although Danielle Hazell (17 not out) and Holly Colvin (18 not out) hit out at the end, it proved too little too late.

West Indies opener Stafanie Taylor top-scored with 40 off 47 balls, but there were also important contributions from Kyshona Knight (28) and Deandra Dottin (32).
