DARTS: Just the job for Harvey
Jamie Harvey, of Scotland, became the first player to reach the quarter-finals of the World Championship at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet yesterday.
The seventh-seeded Harvey, 32, beat Jim Watkins, of the United States, 3-2 in his final group match.
Harvey, who is based in Barrhead, had beaten another American Steve Brown in his first group match. His motivation to succeed in the tournament has been heightened by the fact that he was made unemployed last August.
