Adrian Maguire reached a belated half century and completed a magnificent 1,835-1 treble on Chicodari, Diamond Fort and Rainham at Warwick yesterday. Injury has held up his winning charge this season - he is 53 wins behind Tony McCoy in the jockeys' championship - but he showed that his skills remain as sharp as ever.
"He's not bad that Adrian Maguire is he?," Ginger McCain, the trainer of the 33-1 winner Rainham, said. "This horse needed this as he'd lost his bottle a bit after two falls."
