Richard Dunwoody has been booked to ride the Champion Hurdle contender, Montelado, on his reappearance in the Hattons Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
While Dunwoody scored on Ventana Canyon at Thurles yesterday, the young pretender to his champion jockey's crown, Tony McCoy, rode a treble at Windsor. McCoy, 19 wins ahead of his nearest pursuer, is now 4-5 with Coral to take the title.
The Flat champion, Lanfranco Dettori, who scored a double at Lingfield, has resumed riding on the all-weather to try to reach a total of 1,000 mounts in Britain this season. One horse he may look forward to partnering next year is Mick's Love. The unbeaten juvenile has been bought by Godolphin.
