Equestrianism: Brown back with grey
KELLY BROWN'S frustration at missing the Nations Cup at Hickstead last month through an injury to her grey, Alfredo, can be forgotten now that she has been chosen for the British team to compete in Aachen next week, writes Genevieve Murphy.
She will be joined by John and Michael Whitaker, Warren Clarke and John Popely at the tough European meeting.
The long-awaited return of Everest Milton is also scheduled for the German show. John Whitaker had planned to ride the grey gelding at Hickstead until he saw the state of the ground.
BRITISH NATIONS CUP SQUAD (Aachen, Germany, 14-19 June): K Brown (Alfredo and Gulliver), W Clarke (Benjumin II and Timo), J Popely (Bluebird and Fleurance), J Whitaker (Everest Milton, Gammon and Roddy's Revenge), M Whitaker (Everest Midnight Madness, Twostep and My Mesieur).
